Cookie notice

Last updated 2026-07-28. This notice covers slashturn.com and slashturnstudios.com.

The short version

This website sets no cookies. Not analytics cookies, not advertising cookies, not preference cookies, not "strictly necessary" ones either, because it does not need any. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to, and asking you to dismiss a banner for cookies we do not set would be theatre.

What that means in each place

  • No tracking. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recorder, no heatmap, no A/B testing script. Nothing on this site reports your visit to anybody.
  • No third-party content. The fonts are served from this domain rather than from a font network. There is no embedded map, no embedded video and no social media widget, so no other company sees that you were here.
  • No local storage. Nothing is written to your browser's storage either, which is the thing the law treats the same way as a cookie.
  • The preview sites we build. Same position. A preview at yourbusiness.slashturn.com carries no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

What is unavoidably recorded

Our host keeps ordinary server logs, which include your IP address, so that it can serve pages and defend the site from attack. That is not a cookie and it is not something we can turn off, but it is information about you, so it is covered by the privacy notice rather than hidden here. We keep hosting logs for no longer than 90 days.

If you opt out through the unsubscribe link in one of our emails, we record the time you did it and the IP address you did it from. That is our evidence that we honoured your opt-out, and the privacy notice explains how long we keep it.

If a site we host for you needs cookies

Once you are a customer and we host your website, what your site sets is your decision and your responsibility. If you ask us to add something that sets a cookie, an analytics tool or a booking widget for instance, we will tell you at the time that you need a cookie notice and, depending on what it does, a consent banner. We will not add one quietly.

Questions

Email privacy@slashturn.com. If you think this page is wrong, tell us and we will check it the same day, because a cookie notice that understates what a site does is worse than no notice at all.
